Jamie is a careful European notetaker. No bot joins your calls, and its security page says audio is "streamed for transcription and never stored". Notes stay in the EEA, Switzerland and the UK.
That is a good promise about storage. But the audio still leaves your computer to be transcribed, and the free plan stops at 10 notes a month, 30 minutes each.
Off Grid AI Desktop (OGAD) Pro records without a bot too. The transcript and the summary are written on your own computer, with no note count and no monthly bill.

Streamed is not the same as local
Jamie's policy is strong: no stored audio, no training on your data, and it says that is "contractually enforced" with its model providers. It doesn't name those providers on the page.
OGAD takes the other route. With local models selected, nothing is streamed at all. The audio, the transcript and the summary are made and kept on your computer. There is no provider to trust, because there isn't one.
It also means the notes keep working on a plane or behind a strict firewall. The call itself still needs Zoom's or Teams's connection.
What you get after the call
When you press Stop, a local Whisper model writes the transcript. A local text model then writes the summary, the decisions, the follow-ups with who owes what, and the screens that were shared.
Then Pro goes further than notes:
- Memory. Calls, screens, mail and documents in one local memory you can search and ask.
- Actions you approve. Replies and issues through Gmail, Linear, Jira and Notion, sent only with your yes.
- God, your chief of staff. Meeting prep with last time's notes, and what people owe you.
- Dictation, Vault, Clipboard and Sync. All on the same key, for up to 5 devices.
When Jamie is the better pick
Jamie has an iPhone app and captures in-person meetings from a laptop or a phone. It plugs into CRMs like Salesforce and HubSpot on its Pro plan and up, and it gives teams retention rules. If you need meeting notes on your phone or straight into a CRM, Jamie fits better today.
If you want the audio never to leave your computer, no note limit, and one payment, use OGAD.
