Bluedot does a few things right. Its home page says it "never invites a bot to your meeting or asks for calendar access", and it doesn't train AI on your data. But the free plan ends after 5 meetings, for life, and its security page says "Data is stored in AWS".

Off Grid AI Desktop (OGAD) Pro also records without a bot. It writes the transcript and the notes on your own computer, and there is no meeting limit. You pay once.

Off Grid AI Meetings: the screens shared during a call, kept with the local transcript.

What was on screen during the call, saved next to the notes on your computer.

What it costs over three years

1 year 3 years
Bluedot Basic, billed annually $168 $504
Bluedot Pro, billed annually $240 $720
Off Grid AI Pro, lifetime $79.99 $79.99

Bluedot charges only for people who record, which is fair. It is still a bill every year, per recorder.

No bot is half of privacy

Both apps keep a bot out of the call. That protects how the call feels. It doesn't decide where the words go next.

With Bluedot, the recording and notes go to its servers in AWS. Its security page says AI providers don't store or keep your data after they generate the notes, but it doesn't name them. With OGAD and local models selected, there is no next step. The audio is turned into text, and the text into notes, on the machine that heard it.

What you get after the call

When you press Stop, a local Whisper model writes the transcript. A local text model then writes:

  • a summary of the call,
  • the decisions made,
  • the follow-ups, with who owes what,
  • the screens that were shared.

All of it joins Pro's local memory, so you can ask about a client across every call, email and document at once.

Meetings are one part of Pro

  • Actions you approve. Replies and issues through Gmail, Linear, Jira and Notion. Nothing runs without your yes.
  • God, your chief of staff. A morning brief, meeting prep with last time's notes, and what people owe you.
  • Dictation. Speak into any app on your computer, transcribed locally.
  • Vault, Clipboard and Sync. Encrypted secrets, a searchable clipboard, and your phone and computer in sync.

One key covers up to 5 devices.

When Bluedot is the better pick

Bluedot runs as a Chrome extension, so it works on a computer where you can't install apps. It has phone and Apple Watch apps, team workspaces, and admin controls like SSO on its Business plan. If you need shared notes across a sales team, Bluedot is built for that.

If you want private notes with no meeting count and no seat fee, use OGAD.
