Rize tracks your time without timers, and it does that well. But to write each time entry, it sends what you were doing to AI companies. Rize's privacy page says app names, window titles, URLs and times go to Gemini, Anthropic and OpenAI.

Off Grid AI Desktop (OGAD) Pro answers the same question, "where did my day go?", from data that stays on your computer. A local model writes the entries. Nothing is sent.

How Reflect works

  1. Turn on capture in Replay with Resume capture. OGAD saves moments from your screen as you work, on your disk.
  2. A local model reads each moment and notes the app, the project and the people involved.
  3. Open Reflect. You see your day and week by project, app and person, plus your focus time.
  4. Switch to the week view to see where your time goes over several days.

On Windows and Linux you can run the analysis overnight, so your computer stays fast while you work. You can exclude apps from capture and delete any moment.

Rize says it doesn't store screenshots. OGAD does keep screen moments, but only on your disk, and you can open any saved moment again in Replay.

More than a time sheet

Rize tells you where your time went. Off Grid AI Pro uses the same day of work for much more:

  • Memory. Ask "what did I decide about the Acme pricing?" and get the answer with its source.
  • Meetings. Calls recorded without a bot, transcribed and summarised on your computer.
  • Actions you approve. Replies and issues through Gmail, Linear, Jira and Notion, sent only with your yes.
  • God, your chief of staff. A morning brief, meeting prep and what people owe you.
  • Vault, Clipboard and Sync. Encrypted secrets, a searchable clipboard, and your phone and computer in sync.

One price, up to 5 devices.

When Rize is the better pick

Rize has team plans, client billing reports and integrations built for time sheets. It runs on any laptop, because its AI runs in the cloud. OGAD needs a computer that can run a small local model; most Apple silicon Macs and recent PCs can.

If you bill clients by the hour and need team reports, Rize is built for that. If you want to see your own time privately, and on Linux, use OGAD.

Get started

  1. Download OGAD for Mac, Windows or Linux.
  2. Get Pro and enter your key.
  3. In Models, download a vision model and a text model.
  4. In Replay, choose Resume capture and work as usual.
  5. At the end of the day, open Reflect.
