First Hacktoberfest Experience

Preface (What is Hacktoberfest?)

These bunch of posts going to be dedicated to the event runs every October. Hacktoberfest is a great opportunity for all developers around the world to have a touch with a huge variety of projects. Moreover, exist cases when this event leads to the hiring process, so if you are looking for a job it's a good time to step up and show off your skills to companies which aren't going to pass your work. However, not only occasion when you need a job is a reason why you have to participate at this event, it's a good chance to gain new experience or help people that need your knowledge to fulfill their projects.

Introduction - First Contribution

First contribution aimed at understanding of what is Hacktoberfest, and how it works, simply get a first touch. I just have taken a first project my eye caught and was looking at documentation to find the spelling mistakes. Opened an issue explaining everything that I am about to fix in his documentation, and pull-request.

Post-Event

After my first PR was approved by the maintainer, I've received an e-mail by Hacktoberfest bot announcing my PR review. It took about 7 days to approve my first pull request, after it I received another e-mail and got the 1-level Hacktoberfest badge.

Conclusion

It is a first of five post regarding Hacktoberfest progress. I figured all how this process works, and now ready to make more significant contribution to other projects.
