I really like The Odin Project! They're the resource I've been using so far and it works really well if you're on Mac or Linux.

I’ve done the freecodecamp, udemy, teamtreehouse thing, but what I’ve found is on average, the more focused they are, the better the quality of the the education.

Udemy has billions of courses, made by experts and tryhards alike; anyone can post their course. Sure, the cream rises to the top, but it’s still hit or miss in quality.

Same with YouTube, code academy, etc.

Where I have found the most value is using very specific, focused strategies works better. If you want to learn Vue and Nuxt, VueMastery is incredible. The fact that a Vue has a significantly smaller user base, means there’s less poor quality content to sift through. Ive also had success with the (some of) the Apress books. The ASP.NET book I bought and worked through was pivotal for my career in learning how to think like a developer.

Still cheaper than going to college, but shell out the extra cash for the high quality MOOCs or an in depth book.

Define a goal, start the project and keep try and fail cycle with different source of information.
