Sovereign Lemmings Released

On April 16th, 2026, I published the source code and article called Lemmings Just Spawned on my dev.to profile and my github.com profile. This is the continuation of that effort.

I just did a deep dive into a 2024 Go product that I built called topobuilder in my previous post, and today I am pleased to announce the Sovereign package on Github. It deploys Lemmings to the public cloud in order for you to conduct distributed load testing on your endpoint. The advantage to using Lemmings over tools like NBomber or Apache Benchmarking Tool ab is that each test conducted is session based with a state attached to an NPC or a lemming. The objective of the test is to ensure that n-Lemmings can successfully reach your service within the acceptable period of connection time. I've engineered load testing in these various technologies, including codesenberg's bombardier - none of them measure up to what I built Lemmings to be.

I've seen this before, so I know how to help with it - but before you spend $50,000 on a television ad driving people to your web service, run Lemmings and Sovereign first - make sure your infrastructure is properly configured and working before you send your customers to your service.

The software is 100% free and does not require my involvement at all. I wrote extensive documentation for you. If you need help getting Sovereign Lemmings working, feel free to engage in consulting services.

Enjoy using it!

Now, would you please...
