A Roller coaster Ride with Machine Learning

"People you may know"
And the name that popped in my Facebook feed had me feeling nostalgic all at once. All those amazing memories of this person from my college days flashed back and that moment had me awestruck.

But wait, How does Facebook know that she’s a familiar person? What has made Facebook so smart?
Obviously, Machine Learning. Machine Learning has sneaked right into our routine lives and we haven’t realized it lately.

10 Crimes a Data Scientist must do

TAKING OFF

Machine Learning, a term that is more than enough to entice the attention of all the Millenials out there. Soon as we hear this term, we instantly start imagining the world that we’ve only watched in movies or in our dreams. That’s the power of Machine Learning.

But what adds more glory to this exciting term is the ability that it provides to the machines to complete a task precisely whether be it a huge task or a minute one. The wonders that this field does today is just a teaser of what it would bring us in the future.

By Definition....

Technically, Machine Learning is a field that predicts future outcomes using various algorithms. A field that is all about making the machines learn by feeding them with the data available to us. These predictions are made using different statistical approaches. With the help of Machine Learning, analysis of complex data is also possible.
Machine Learning is a sub-part of the broader term, Artificial Intelligence.

MACHINE LEARNING SOFTWARES

Machine Learning is all about writing complex codes for making machines capable of doing different tasks. But with these complex codes, there comes a requirement for inch-perfect tools for running them.

'Coz you're rare if you know these Machine Learning Softwares

These ML codes are of no use if you don’t have the appropriate software to run them. Though there is a lot of software available for the same. You just need to pick the suitable software according to the requirement of the task you need to perform with your code.

The top Machine Learning software that is accessible to you is TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, Shogun, and much more.

APPLICATIONS OF MACHINE LEARNING

Isn’t it exciting to know that Machine Learning has made our lives effortless? Though it’s the partial truth, Machine Learning has a hell lot to offer to the human race in the near future. The wonders of Machine Learning that we are witnessing today is just a teaser of the power that Machine Learning possesses.

The Most Exciting Applications of Machine Learning

Machine Learning is a field that well and truly has got the potential to do way more than we could ever imagine. We just need to trust this process and sooner or later Machine Learning will rule the world. It is on the verge of becoming a part of our routine lives.

Be it the simple facial recognition lock pattern in your smartphones to have solutions to some of the hardest challenges for the medical sector, Machine Learning has got it all.

MACHINE LEARNING TOOLS

What’s the point of being the owner of a gold mine if you don’t have the exact tools to dig it? The same is the scenario when we talk about Machine Learning. All the hard work that the practitioners put in for developing various ML algorithms would be just a sheer waste of time if they didn’t have the proper tools for utilizing them.

Knowing the Tools it's ML's First rule

Implementing an ML algorithm is a sort of happiness but knowing how to use it the right way with the right tool is something beyond happiness. Knowing which tool to use and when to use it is the true art of Machine Learning.

FUTURE OF MACHINE LEARNING

“The Future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of Machine Learning.”

Machine Learnings’ gonna rule the world for at least a couple or more decades to come. We are soon gonna witness a whole new era of Machine Learning. We will be in admiration/awe of the wonders that this field produces in the coming years.

Sneak a peek into the Future of Machine Learning

It is gradually becoming an integral part of all the industries out there in the world. Even now also, top organizations of the world have observed unbelievable results with the help of Machine Learning. And believe me, Machine Learning will offer a lot more in the future.

MACHINE LEARNING ALGORITHMS

Machine Learning to some extent has eased our way of dealing with various real-world problems. All these ML solutions are being developed using different algorithms. For finding the solution to some problems only a single algorithm is enough and for others, we need more than one.

You cannot be a Machine Learning dude without these Algorithms

All these algorithms are crucial in getting accurate results out of our test data. These algorithms are subdivided into two - Supervised and unsupervised algorithms, with each having its own significance. These algorithms form the backbone of Machine Learning.

SURPRISE!!!

Because Machine Learning is a field that believes more on practical stuff rather than indulging in the theoretical part. So, here's all you need to get your Machine Learning skills to whet.

So, this was a quick glance at what Machine Learning is all about.

Why didn't you mention R?
Everyone talks about NN but few discuss logistic regression or Decision trees. Why is that?

Yeah, undoubtedly R is a great option for implementing ML and I am planning to write a separate article on the same in the next few days.

All these i.e., neural network, logistic regression, and decision trees are used for in domains in Machine Learning and I have implemented a real-time project for all three.

Do have a look.

Neural Network - Traffic Signs Recognition System
Logistic Regression - Credit Card Fraud Detection
Decision Trees - Detecting Parkinsons Disease
