Happy International women's day to all the ladies out there. This is the first time I am participating in #shecoded. Loving this initiative by dev.to, I am joining this, and you can too :)

My most recent achievement is…

I got selected to be part of the Media Developer Experts program by Cloudinary 😇

This is the first of its kind international recognition I got and it has boosted my confidence to do more for the community ✌

My biggest goal is…

to use my learnings and knowledge to help people, and help create a better world 💖

I have been working on creating an educational website to spread awareness around web accessibility, called explore a11y.

As an ally to disabled people, I also participated in the #AccessibleAdvent 2020. There were so many informative tweets that I ended up creating a website dedicated to the #AccessibleAdvent 2020 event because I did not want that gold mine to ever fade away.

It is called Accessible Advent 2020 - Learn, Adopt, Advocate and is dedicated to raising awareness around accessibility and hoping that 2021 be the year when accessibility would be an integral part and not just an afterthought for any decision.

My advice for allies to support underrepresented folks who code is...

• be kind, listen and support 🤗
• learn about subconscious biases 🙏
• help create safe and positive environments for us 🙌
• amplify our voices and efforts 🤝
