MS Defender 4 cloud: Devops security in Github environment

Greetings my fellow Technology Advocates and Specialists.

In this Session, I will demonstrate MICROSOFT IGNITE - 2022 release of MICROSOFT DEFENDER 4 CLOUD: DEVOPS SECURITY IN GITHUB ENVIRONMENT.

THIS IS HOW IT LOOKS AT THE END!!!
IMPORTANT POINTS TO NOTE:-
1. The Connector Name CANNOT be more than 20 Characters.
2. Defender for DevOps Only Supports Central US during PREVIEW
3. The Subscription should be Registered to Microsoft.SecurityDevOps. If Not, Below Error is Encountered.
STEP BY STEP IMPLEMENTATION:-
1. Browse to Microsoft Defender for Cloud > DevOps Security (Preview) > Connect DevOps Environments > Add Connector -
2. Add Environment > GitHub -
3. Provide Connector Details -
4. Select Plans -
5. Authorize Connection > Authorize Defender for DevOps -
6. Authorize Connection > Install Defender for DevOps App -
7. Select All Repositories or Selected Repositories. In this Demo, I have Selected a Single Repository -
8. Review and Create -
9. New GitHub Connector Created Successfully -
10. Resources in the Resource Group -
Note: Check the Option "Show Hidden Types" inside the Resource Group to view the "Defender Resources"
11. Where is the Defender for DevOps app installed inside the Github Repository ?
On Clicking "Configure" -
Using above option, Defender for DevOps app can be uninstalled (If Required).

Hey Arindam, great article ๐Ÿ”ฅ just why your headers are screaming so loud with these uppercase letters? ๐Ÿ˜… Brings quite a lot of anxiety to readers. I understand the devops security is very important but man, all the devops guys I know are calm and quiet people, thereโ€™s no need to yell about terraform and GitHub actions โ€” folks know theyโ€™re cool and all anyway ๐Ÿ‘
