This is a submission for the DEV April Fools Challenge
🎧 What I Built
I built Frequency Zero — a music player that looks completely real, but plays absolutely nothing.
It includes:
- A clean, futuristic music player UI
- Play/Pause functionality
- A moving progress bar
- Volume controls
Everything works exactly like a real music app… except one thing:
👉 There is no sound.
No matter what you do — increase volume, replay the track, or wait — the app continues to “play” in complete silence.

🛠️ How I Built It
This project was built using:
- HTML
- CSS
- JavaScript
Implementation Details:
- A timer simulates real-time playback
- Progress bar updates dynamically
- UI interactions (play, pause, volume) are functional
- No audio is used — which creates the core joke
The UI is intentionally designed to look premium and trustworthy so users expect sound… and then get confused 😄
🎯 Prize Category
Community Favorite
This project is:
- Simple
- Interactive
- Instantly understandable
- Fun to share
The contrast between a high-end UI and complete silence creates a memorable experience.
😄 Final Note
The app doesn’t crash.
It doesn’t lag.
It just… plays nothing.
And insists everything is working perfectly.
