Feedback Is a Loop, Not a Verdict

The reason feedback stings
is that you hear it as a verdict.

A final judgment.
A score on who you are.

It isn't. It's a loop.

A verdict closes the case.
A loop is information
that comes back so you can adjust
and go around again, better.

The note about your work
is not a ruling on your worth.
It's just this pass's data,
pointing at the next small correction.

When you hear it as a verdict,
you get defensive and learn nothing.
When you hear it as a loop,
you get curious and improve.

Same words. Completely different outcome.
The difference is only
where you decide to file it.

Nobody nails it in one pass.
Everything good is iterated.

Take the feedback.
Adjust. Go around again.
That's not failing. That's the loop working.
