My new journey starts here!

Hello dev.to Community! 👋

Introduction

I am a soon to be member of the 30s club, aspiring webdeveloper & a proud dad. In 2016 I started learning how to code, what is coding & how to build a website. I land my first job in 2017 as a junior Front-end developer. I've built a lot of websites from scratch & gained a lot of experience. I've been here on dev.to for a long time and I read a lot of useful technical posts about programming, webdevelopment and also other developer's stories.

Currently I am working as a front-end developer remotely.
In my free time I'm reading books related to money, investing, self-improvement, motivation & meditation.

The reason why this post has been written

The truth is I'm not considering myself a good developer. Simply because I struggle a lot when it comes to coding but I'm willing to do everything to be better. I'm trying to find a connection between blogging and development. I believe that if I start writing about the stuff that I'm working on that would help me a lot in different ways.

I.) I'd like to learn the ins and outs of blogging 📝

I always wanted to write an article that may reach out to some people but never wrote a single one mainly because I doesn't really know how to write a blog post, in the second place I really don't know what to write about. So I challenged myself to write a post about myself and my plans in general and we'll see where it leads to.

II.) I'd like to socialise & interact with others Online to regain self-confidence and faith. 💬

Overtime I became an introvert. For example when I walk on the streets I feel cramped about the sourrounding people. I often ask questions to myself when someone looks at me like: "Why is he/she looking at me?" "Is there anything on me?" "Am I weird?"

I know I lack of self confidence and maybe I had lost my faith in humans but I always assume that the reason they stare at me is because something bad or negative.

I hope writing will help me overcome this.

III.) Coding & development 📈

I'd like to interact with people that are more advanced and more professional than me. It would be a great opportunity to share ideas and thoughts.

My plans for the future

There are a couple of plans in my head for the future.

  • Since I know how to build a website I would like to create a blog where I can share articles ( niche yet to be found )
Also this is a great opportunity to learn & grow as a developer.

  • I'd like to write posts about my process and all the things I do here on dev.to to practice writing right off!

  • I'd like to interact with others in the comment section below my posts to make me feel more comfortable with people.

  • I am going to read more books on the before-mentioned topics to broaden my horizon.

I think I can call it a start.

Conclusion

If you've made it this far, THANK YOU! 🙏

This is my very first public article. By the way is this an article? Can we call it an article? Nevermind, let's call it a post. I'm sure it has a lot of mistake especially because I'm not a native english speaker. I have to start somewhere, right? 😃

I'm open to criticism so If you have something in your mind let me know!
Please share your thoughts with me! 💭

Have a great day! 👋
