This is a submission for the DEV April Fools Challenge
What I Built-
I built a completely useless Smart Teapot that refuses to brew coffee under any circumstances.
Whenever a user clicks the “Brew Coffee” button, the system responds with a 418 – I’m a teapot error. Instead of performing its job, the teapot expresses emotions, sarcasm, and passive-aggressive behavior.
This project is designed to confuse users, waste their time, and make them question their life choices — exactly as intended.

How I Built It
This project is built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. It features an AI-powered smart teapot that refuses to brew coffee, responding with humorous 418 errors and sarcastic replies generated using Google Gemini API.
Prize Category
Prize Category
🏆 Best Google AI Usage + Best Ode to Larry Masinter
This project combines both categories by integrating the Google Gemini API to generate dynamic, sarcastic responses from the teapot, making each interaction unique and engaging.
At the same time, it is directly inspired by the HTCPCP protocol and the iconic 418 “I’m a teapot” status code, serving as a humorous tribute to Larry Masinter.
The project intentionally embraces uselessness while showcasing creative use of AI and internet culture.
