KSR College of Technology, Tiruchengodu, Tamil Nadu, India is one where I have been associated with the last couple of years to deliver expert sessions to staff and students. Infor Nexus PerfQA team and myself have recently conducted 3 hours workshop (refer blog here) for KSRCT on Application Performance Management as part of Engineering Operations Tech-Drive, an initiative for techies to utilize their expertise to share knowledge.
It was indeed a pleasure to be part of their Women's Day Celebration but later got to flag-off their Pinkathon and deliver a Cloud Computing session as well.
On a side note, I try to stick only delivering technical sessions, guidance on syllabus, panel discussion and so on. For the first time, I have signed-up for a non-tech gathering, because its Women's Day.
I always have a high regards for Lion. K. S. Rangasamy, Founder - Chairman and Shri R.Srinivasan Vice Chairman, KSR Institutions for building an empire housing school to colleges of all streams giving education and employment to lakhs of people, impacting more lives and yet, stay so humble. The wake of the KSR Institutions on 400 acres of land with raised buildings have resulted in complete transformation in the locality. A big salute!
I wish if I could get an opportunity to take my little boys to meet Founder - Chairman where they can witness his success story completely clad in simplicity and take his blessings.
Life isn't just about how much you can grow
It's also about how humble you are,
How can you contribute to society?
And how you can lend a helping hand,
To show the ladder you have climbed the hard way.
One thing I admire at KSRCT as protocol is to remember and thank Founder - Chairman and Vice Chairman in the beginning of the session irrespective of their presence; be it online or offline event.
KSR College of Technology - Pinkathon
All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) had facilitated KSRCT with AICTE Lilavati Award 2021-2022 for their contribution towards society under Women and Adolescent Health category. In continuation to their contribution towards Women and Adolescent Health, KSRCT’s women’s day celebration started with Pinkathon. I was super excited flag-off the Pinkathon in presence of Principal Dr.Gopalakrishnan and Vice Principal Dr.Karthikeyen and co-run along with the students and staff. Brave hearts of KSRCT - the NCC students lead the group.

KSR College of Technology - Women's Day Celebration
Women’s Day was very eventful, where the college started the introduction of chief guest, myself, with the AWS Developer Story which kept students glued their seat with more expectations from the session.
My talk was focused on central topic Stand Up for Yourself.
I appealed the women to Stand Up for themselves to signal the world that they are born to make difference and positive impact, which eventually will set a base to break the bias.
Ended with a message that
Life in an endless game
You might end up playing several roles
Never lose your individuality
Remember that's your identity!
Stand Up for yourself
And be the reason to bring in change.
Tomorrow is ours.
Towards the end of the session, one of the students Ms.Rajalakshmi, came up to me and said that she has met her in person a couple of years ago in a Bengaluru AWS Event, drawing inspiration and guidance from me, cleared an AWS Certification as well. That moment really gave her goosebumps and helped me realize that my volunteering in the tech space has got a positive impact in the budding engineers.

Whether planned or unplanned, my day do not end without a tech conversation and here it is.
Based on request from CSE HOD Dr. Madhavi and Principal Dr.Gopal, continued the post lunch session with an hour long cloud conversation - Getting Started with AWS and Certification.
Glad to hear cool projects that students are working and know their aspirations.
