Under certain circumstances, it seems likes certain HTML will be rendered; to my knowledge, this only works for the <a>-tag, as demonstrated here:

The true title ov the post is How can I remove the "padding"-like stuff on the <a>? (ov course, without the tag being in a code snippet, but rather wrapped in two backticks).
I conducted an experiment to see if it would happen again, and even this post will be an experiment, but it turns out it does not seem to happen with a <code> tag; however, the setup was different, so that could have threw off the results.
