I am an avid user with all types of headphones! Some could say that I am a headphone junkie others could say I love to have options. Be that as it may I want to know what everyone uses for certain situations when it comes to coding or listening to music in general.
Here is my current list of headphones/earphones that I own at the moment:
- Sony WH1000XM2 Bluetooth Wireless NC Headphones
- Coding/Programming work
- Long study sessions
- Deep focus work
- Reading books
- Sony XB950B1 Extra Bass Wireless Headphones
- Coding/Programming work
- Web development
- intense music session
- Dubstep & Chillstep
- Any electronic music
- Apple Air Pods
- Mainly use these when I am out about in school, work, or at my local library
- Also use for podcasts and Audio books
- SteelSeries Arctis 7
- Gaming headset for playing the PS4
- Also sometimes use with the XBOX 360
- Wired earphones
- When I forget to charge any of my bluetooth headphones
- Back up earphones for when my other headphones die
Let me know which pair of headphones you guys use on a daily basis or use for special occasions! Also I am close to buying the Bose QC 35 so badly >.< even though I don't really need them 🤣

I use a pair of TMA-2; I got them a few years ago. They are still going strong, despite needing a new headband and they do need new earpads as well. But as they are modular, so I don't need to buy a new pair of headphones.
Unlike my friend's Sennheiser HD 598's, haha.
Have a few year old pair of Sennheiser HD 598 CS headphones that I love that are unfortunately on the way out (due to years of daily use and commuting). Fantastic headphones though, the first time I've never wanted to upgrade.
My TMA-2 is the best pair of headphone I have ever had.
Oi, it's the cable port that's gone which would make yours need a replacement too.
Only the speaker units would need replacing. which will cost £88($111, €100).haha.
I bought my entire pair of headphones on sale for £80 down from £199, so shush.
I prefer the sound quality on my TMA-2. hahaha
Not gonna take the bait (especially given my post on elitism), but Sennheiser are pretty much the industry standard so 🤷♂. Now get back to working on our website! Hahaha.
I've actually heard great things about these headphones! On top of that it is one of the best audio brands in my opinion because they always create some top notch headphones and products! May have to look into buying these in the future ;)
I would say Look at these as a long-term purchase. Although modular it can be price to replace parts.

I currently use the Bose QuietComfort 35 II.
I am really happy with my purchase. I was looking for a pair of wireless noise cancelling headphones. While they are expensive and I probably could have gotten something better at a lower price if I had done more research, I am very happy with these headphone and will probably get another pair when the time comes.
The biggest feature that I like is the integrated controls. I tend to put my phone in my drawer when I am working, so I like being able to control volume from the headset.
Also, the battery life has been stellar, and I only charge them every few days.
I also use AirPods. I love how portable they are and how good they are for taking calls. I tend to use them if I am working in coffee shop because they are lower profile, and I am less worried about them getting snatched.
That's awesome! Now part of me will feed my addiction and try to buy these pair of headphones because I've heard so much good things about them. Also one of the major selling points on these headphones is comfort which they beat the Sony's by a alot considering that they are decently comfortable for a few hours or wear.
If I'm at my home desk I'll be using a Logitech G432 headset, it used to double as a microphone until I bought a Blue Snowball. Anywhere else I use a pair of Sennheiser HD4.40 BT excellent Bluetooth with incredible noise cancelling. And if the neighbours aren't home a set of Sony BDVE2100 5.1
Bose QC 35 is the one I use.
Me too👍
I recently talked to some friends and was shocked at how much money they spend on headphones. PSA: you can buy amazing sounding, high quality studio headphones in music shops form less know brands for a really low price. If you're in Europe definitely check out thomann, I got my Superlux HD-669 for $30 from them.
You are completely correct! I have come across numerous pairs of headphones that are so much cheaper than the headphones I have listed I think most people value more of the headphones when they are more expensive than cheaper if that makes sense? 🤔
