We're in the process of improving the suggested articles/discussion around the site and I'm looking at implementation options.
The most appealing option I've found is Recombee, which seems well-designed and well-documented. We'll design this system so that we can swap this out for something else in the future, so I'm not itching to go after a lower-level API or library for the time-being. Recombee seems like a goldilox solution in terms of not being too low-level or high-level and the docs make sense.
But I'd love input if anyone has any thoughts on the matter.

Here's a good list which includes Recombee.
Ecommerce sees a lot of roll your own personalization engines and I think Apache's open source personalization tool has a good white paper floating around their site.
Amazing list. Thanks a lot!
We are heavily using Recombee within our platform. And the experience with their service is quite nice (including customer-service).
Great to hear. Yeah I get a good vibe from them. Seems really thought out and polished. Small team doing the job well.
Also using Recombee and so far working well
I've also tested out another service for 'content' recommendations - called bibblio.
So far actually not bad at all (support is a little painful, but the documentation is pretty detailed and relatively straight forward to work with)
Quick Update: Service still works great although support is none-existence unfortunately
:-(
If docs were stored in (or could be indexed to) Elastic, then one can make use of morelikethis type of query
Is it only me or Recombee Personal Recommendation seems off, is there any way to set like the "most-important" attributes?
