I am from India and I recently got a standing desk done. I got the flexispot one from Amazon. It supported only 70kgs or so. Hence, I got a custom table top built using WPC board. I was looking at IKEA Linnmon too but given that it's made up of cardboard, I gave up. I ended up making a 5ft by 2.5ft table top.
I will do a full review video may be after using for a few more weeks. But in general I stand a lot now. Also, if you have a puppy, this is the best thing. You can easily move around with a standing desk 😅

It's such a game-changer! I'm seriously loving it. It's so convenient and I find I'm straining my neck much less.
I have Acer monitors so had to get a converter to connect the displays to the Jarvis dual arm. Other brands of arms may have more connection options, but I'm unsure... so one thing to keep in mind when buying an arm is if it'll connect to your laptop without issues or if you need an adapter.

I hate to admit that I got one of the cheapest ones that I found on Amazon: a Flexispot electric standing desk... but I also have to admit that I don't regret the choice:
It includes both legs and board (many of the desks for this price only included legs)
It has an electric motor to put the desk up and down (with two buttons),
It was super simple to assemble (even a clumsy me could do it)
It is spacious (48x30, I can work by myself or with a person across from me or by my side)
It is really sturdy (metallic legs, composite board)
I'm pretty happy with the purchase to be honest. Especially considering the price ($250-$300).
I use it 8 hours a day. It does up on Monday and goes back down on Friday night. It has up/down buttons so you cannot add preset heights, but the buttons are easy to use. There are mods available on the internet with custom prints that add preset options, but I have never tried one.
Under the desk hangs a mat which you can use to hide cables (the mat is included with the desk).
My only complaint is the finish of the tabletop. You need a mouse mat for your mouse or movement will not be that smooth.
I recently came to learn that Husky (the Home Depot brand) has an adjustable solid work top table with or without full length drawers for about the same.
I used one of these multitable.com/product/multitable-... for almost two years onsite at last startup and it was IMO perfect: smooth and easy crank action, rock solid, everything (including top) excellent quality.
Once I had my best standing height dialed in I just left it there, occasionally perching on a high stool.
I just got the Vivo (frame only) with the manual crank. It is significantly cheaper than the options that include a top, and super sturdy. The best part is that you can add a top that fits the dimension of your space. I highly recommend it!
I've had both the Autonomous standing desk at my office. Mounted two large monitor arms and gives a ton of useable space.
Just got this other one (costco.com/tresanti-47%22-adjustab...) home (the now-office). It's smaller and can't handle the monitor arms but it has built-in USB power and the top works great with dry-erase markers 😁.
I have done so much research on this and ended up getting the frame and table top separate. The frame has a dual motor, is super sturdy and goes up to 47 inches in height. The tabletop is very thick and sturdy as well. I have been using this setup for about 6 months now and couldnt be happier. Also to note I am 6'3 inches tall and some of the desks dont go up high enough but this one is plenty high. Built very solid
We’ve got two sit/stand desks in our home. A Jarvis with a bamboo, contoured table top, and an IKEA Bekant with the Bekant table top.
We love them both, however there are a few differences that stand out.
The Jarvis tabletop is definitely higher quality (not to say that the Bekant is low quality by any means), available in a wider width 180cm vs the Bekant’s 160cm which really helps with a dual monitor set up) and it has a programmable memory for height selections.
The price difference is another thing to note. For all of the features above, the Jarvis costs almost twice as much as the Bekant.
If I didn’t have a two monitor setup, I’d probably save my money and get a Bekant if I had to buy again.
Go automated if possible. It's easy to push a button and get out of your chair but if I had to crank I might just suffer through sitting too long. Make sure the motor is powerful enough.

I purchased it without a top because I had grand plans for making something beautiful. I got a cheap, plain door from my local home improvement center as a temporary solution and, uh, well, I'm still using it. It's functional and doesn't look bad, just not beautiful. One day I'll get around to it!
The desk is electric, with three memory settings and fine adjustments. The manual adjustment is precise. The motor is quiet and powerful. It raises and lowers my setup with multiple monitors and stands, a UPS and additional shelving underneath for holding laptops, USB/Thunderbolt hubs, a network switch, etc. The desk adjusts to different widths and includes a cable tray. It is SOLID, sturdy and well built.
Assembly is via Allen keys (included as I recall), wrenches and screwdrivers and is similar to building Ikea furniture. Be warned—this is a HEAVY item.
I added a pair of VIVO dual-arm monitor mounts to my setup. I'm very pleased with their products and their customer service is great—one of the monitor arms shipped without some accessory pieces. They overnighted replacements and followed up with an email to confirm I had everything I needed.
Been looking at getting a sit/stand desk for a bit now and some of these suggestions sound pretty interesting. I'm pretty looking for just the base as the top of my current desk works fine and I could just switch it over.

I went with an automated one, the MotionGrey Adjustable Dual Motors Electric Sit to Stand Computer Office Standing Desk. I snagged it for a really good deal at Best Buy in Canada.

Haven't used the Jarvis desk, but I've had my Autonomous desk since May 2020 and I have zero complaints.

Standing for sure. I honestly opted for a manual desk (from ikea!) because it was cheaper but it’s nice to get more movement in my arms.
