I feel it's more the other way around. I wasn't asked much about Big O in the last batch of interviews I did earlier this year, but in the 2010s it was the only thing they asked (primarily big companies, then others following suit).
I am from Russia, maybe here western trends come with delay
interviews are much easy in westren countries for freshers just last year i was asked about dataclass's and all during fresher interview for a intern role

Feels the pain, to get interviews it is harder now, need to match almost exact technical skills, then 5-6 interview levels, time take to complete the interview becomes months!
Meanwhile vibe coders are broke bc they don't cause the errors, the AI does!

this is on spot. Last week I struggled to fix a .Net bug using chatGPT after wasting 40 minutes I tried googling the issue and guess what found a thread on stack overflow and issue resolved.
