Great. As long as they balance the industry people with AI safety and ethics experts. But I honestly doubt it. To see Hugging Face in there is at least one good sign.

I agree β€” without having an idea about what might be next here, what we need at the very least are somewhat of a diversity of reasonable perspectives in industry.

I imagine everyone is quite skeptical about the effectiveness of the next steps here, but that is, indeed, a notable positive.

Yeah it's always a bad sign when the headline is "following a meeting with CEOs of [companies where increased regulation will directly hurt their bottom line]". Not even safety/alignment experts from those same companies (as if that wouldn't already be enough of a conflict of interest), the freakin' CEOs. The people whose literal job description is maximizing shareholder profits.
