Loved this interview!

If we can help people build sustainable businesses on top of our platform, then there are plenty of ways that we can sustain ourselves.

I think that this is a really great insight. By focusing on delivering value for your stakeholder, you ensure there is also enough value for you to create a sustainable business. The key is making your product so good that folks are willing to stick around (and pay) versus finding a free alternative.

It sounds like the team is taking the right approach - looking forward to watching this grow.

I wonder how much he credits to his CS degree from Harvard. The value of a formal degree in computer science versus teaching yourself is something I see debated all the time, so knowing whether he thinks his success in tech was deterministic vs. dependent on academia would be interesting.

The first page said you have to know how to program in BASIC, so I went back and got another book about programming BASIC.
