How I Built a Zero-Dependency, 100% Client-Side 50-State US LLC vs. S-Corp Tax Calculator (2026 IRS Rules)

Most financial calculators on the web are bloated with third-party tracking scripts, require email signups to view results, or oversimplify the US Internal Revenue Code by ignoring the Section 199A QBI deduction and state-level S-Corp surtaxes.

I built CorpTaxIQ (blacklink.in)—a fast, zero-dependency, 100% client-side web application that models 2026 US Single-Member LLC vs. S-Corporation taxes, IRS Form 1040-ES quarterly vouchers, Solo 401(k) tax shields, and commercial insurance costs across all 50 US states.

Key Engineering & Statutory Highlights

  1. Zero External Blocking JS Runtime: Instead of loading runtime CSS compilers or 200KB charting libraries, the app uses pre-compiled production CSS and a native High-DPI HTML5 <canvas> stacked bar chart engine (window.devicePixelRatio scaled) that renders in <1ms.
  2. Verified 2026 IRS Statutory Engine:
    • 2026 Social Security (OASDI) Cap: $184,500 (12.4% tax + uncapped 2.9% Medicare + 0.9% Additional Medicare surtax).
    • 2026 Standard Deduction: $16,100 (Single) / $32,200 (Married Filing Jointly).
    • Section 199A QBI Interaction: Accurately models why paying W-2 officer wages in an S-Corp reduces Qualified Business Income below SSTB phase-out thresholds (full mathematical methodology here).
  3. 50 Pre-Rendered State Calculators & 10-Section Statutory Guides:
