Hydra is not a classic LLM API. It answers deterministically from its own internal knowledge, and it says plainly when it does not know something.
What you can test today
-
Endpoint:
POST https://hidra-smart-core.base44.app/functions/hydraApiLiber - Page and browser tester: https://hidra-smart-core.com/api
- Public repository: https://github.com/bogdanstancu1119-maker/hydra-api
No account, no signup, no key. The Hydra key is optional and in v1 changes nothing functional: it identifies nobody and grants no extra quota. Call it from a browser, a script or a server — CORS is open (Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *).
Try it in one call
curl -X POST https://hidra-smart-core.base44.app/functions/hydraApiLiber \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"prompt":"Ce este SDI în PSIE?"}'
Response fields you can rely on (verified live, 2026-11-03 18:13 UTC): raspuns, status, metoda, surse, versiune: "v1", motor: "intern_determinist", apeluri_llm_externe: 0, liber: true, login_necesar: false.
Limits — stated, not hidden
| Tokens, credits | none counted |
| Requests per second / per day | none enforced, none declared |
| Prompt length | 600 characters, enforced |
| Availability | depends on infrastructure and service capacity |
Read this before testing at scale
- Do not send passwords, secret keys, personal data or confidential information.
- Read the documentation for what is processed and retained after a call.
- Do not assume the optional key adds protection; read what role it plays.
- Use the service responsibly and report availability or behaviour issues in the GitHub repository.
- The published code describes the API gate and the components in the repository; the platform runtime and external infrastructure services are not hosted on GitHub.
How to check that any of this is true
Every error carries a stable code next to the human-readable error — branch on the code, never on the text: prompt_missing, prompt_too_long, invalid_key, method_not_allowed, quarantine, internal_error.
The repository ships verify.mjs (Node 18+, zero dependencies), which runs the contract checks against the live endpoint and prints PASS/FAIL for each one. Last run: 9 of 9 pass.
Start with the README: usage plus examples for curl, Node.js and Python. After a service change, check CONTRACT.md and the verification script, then update the documentation if live behaviour changed.
