Hey folks! I recently built and launched HourZone.io, a simple utility website for time and date information.
What it does:
Current week number (ISO 8601)
Time zone converter (40+ cities)
Stopwatch, timer, and countdowns
Date difference calculator
Age calculator
Unix timestamp converter
Leap year checker
Why I built it:
I wanted a fast, clean alternative to bloated time/date sites full of ads and popups. HourZone is static, loads instantly, has zero cookies, and is completely free.
Tech stack:
Astro (SSG), TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, hosted on Cloudflare Pages. All interactive tools use vanilla JavaScript — no heavy frameworks.
What's next:
Multi-language support, world clock map, sunrise/sunset times.
