Most AI writing tools are great at generating paragraphs.

They are terrible at writing books.

I learned this the hard way while trying to write a novel.

I had:

• a solid idea
• interesting characters
• a strong opening

And after a few chapters… everything fell apart.

The plot lost direction.

Characters became inconsistent.

I didn’t know what to write next.

The Real Problem: No Structure

The issue wasn’t creativity.

It was structure.

Chat-based AI tools generate text, not stories.

A novel needs:

• a clear plot
• character arcs
• chapter-level planning
• long-term consistency

That’s when I decided to build something different.

What I Learned
