The Problem
Most "make money with AI" advice is vague: "sell prompts" or "offer AI services." But what does that actually look like?
What I Built
I created three digital products using nothing but ChatGPT and Google Docs:
- A prompt collection (450+ prompts across 22 categories)
- Social media hook templates (100+ ready-to-use hooks)
- An AI side hustle starter kit (guides + templates)

The Process
Step 1: Research What Sells
I looked at what's trending on Gumroad, Product Hunt, and Twitter. AI prompts and templates are consistently in the top sellers. The key insight: people don't want to learn prompt engineering — they want ready-made prompts.
Step 2: Create Quality Content
Instead of generic prompts like "write me an email," I focused on specific, actionable prompts with context:
BAD: "Write a marketing email"
GOOD: "Act as a senior email marketer. Write a 3-email
welcome sequence for a SaaS product targeting developers.
Email 1: Hook with a relatable coding frustration story.
Email 2: Deliver a quick win (code snippet or tool).
Email 3: Soft pitch with social proof from GitHub stars."
Step 3: Package and Price
- Formatted everything into clean DOCX files
- Created three products at different price points ($7, $9, $12)
- Listed on a platform that accepts crypto payments (important for global reach)
Step 4: Content Marketing
Instead of paid ads, I:
- Published articles on developer platforms (like this one!)
- Created SEO-optimized content pieces
- Shared free samples to build trust
Lessons Learned
- Quality > Quantity: 450 great prompts beat 1000 mediocre ones
- Specific beats generic: Niche down. "Prompts for developers" beats "ChatGPT prompts"
- Give value first: Share 20% for free, sell the other 80%
- Crypto payments expand your market: Not everyone has PayPal/Stripe
