My 8-year-old was struggling with times tables last year. I tried a bunch of math apps but they were either full of ads, required accounts, or let kids just guess without understanding what they're doing.
So I built NumWiz: a Progressive Web App that practices all 4 basic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and requires kids to show their reasoning step by step.
What makes it different:
- Kids can't just guess the answer: they need to show HOW they got there
- Works offline (installable PWA)
- 3 languages: English, Polish, Spanish
- No accounts, no ads, no tracking
- Completely free
