Print glare is a surface reflectance problem — not a face to invent

Photographing a paper print often adds a broad specular sheen. Treating that sheen as “fix the face” invents identity instead of repairing the print.

What to do instead

  1. Decide which regions still show print detail under the sheen.
  2. Reduce glare only there.
  3. Leave fully wiped areas alone rather than hallucinating features.

The images below are synthetic demo + AI-edited samples from MendTrue’s public demo assets.

Before you keep a result, check paving and paper texture consistency. Glare fill is an estimate of the print surface, not recovered detail.
