Why We Didn't Build Another AI Security Tool

Software engineering changes whenever computing changes.

Cloud computing changed deployment.

Containers changed infrastructure.

CI/CD changed software delivery.

Now AI agents are changing applications themselves.

They don't just respond.

They plan.

They call tools.

They access enterprise systems.

They remember.

They act.

That changes what security needs to protect.

Crucible started with a simple belief:

AI agents deserve security designed specifically for AI agents.

Not borrowed from web security.

Not adapted from model benchmarking.

Built for the realities of autonomous software.

That's why we've focused on behavioral testing, memory poisoning, MCP security, continuous validation, engineering workflows, and production-first architecture.

Over the last 80 days we've shared that journey publicly because we believe open source grows through transparency, discussion, and community.

We're grateful to everyone who's joined us so far.

And we're excited for what's next.

Pytest for AI Agents.
