You remember that I want to get a job somewhere, but I am still thinking that maybe it is worth being a classic startup guy and doing AI consulting.
Well, you see, I succeeded in building my second brain, and really all my AIs can do a great deal of the work. I even managed to create a digital co-founder.
So here is what my co-founder said when I asked him what one can make money on. He recommended SMB consulting.
He says the very first companies to sell AI consulting to are US accounting and tax firms with 8 to 50 people. Supposedly they have margins of 50 to 60%, and they will then pull their own SMB clients along with them.
Second in line you should sell to HVAC. I have never heard that abbreviation, but it is plumbers and electricians.
And after that, dentists.
Pizzerias are not worth selling to: their margin is small. Whereas those guys above, they have margins of 50% and up.
So:
an audit, three grand over 5 days;
then building some workflow for them over 10 to 20 days, over 14 days;
and then 3 to 5 months of support
And owners of firms with $0 to 100 million in annual revenue close in 2 to 6 weeks.
I remember my experience warming up Chinese and Japanese B2B clients, where you warm them up for a year.... In B2B the deal sizes were different, and here in America the deals are, as I understand it, faster.
It is good that I have a crm, but of course I do not have leads like that: no plumbers, no accountants, no electricians.
Then I want to hear your opinion, colleagues... Who has experience selling and automating for these audiences?
