Work remotely. Honestly, somewhere from the age of 25, for the last 20 years, I have been working remotely. Even before remote work existed at all in principle, I started working remotely, back when I was an employee. I was my own boss, the manager of small regional warehouses, branches and so on.
And I can say that, honestly, it was fun, because working in a big office, in my personal opinion, is working in a big aquarium where everyone keeps getting in your way. They call you out for a smoke and so on, they call you to lunch. Very inefficient.
Basically, what always helped me was that I work remotely: you work at a large company, in some rich city, in a rich country, and you live wherever you like.
And running around San Francisco in the mornings, I was thinking that it would be nice to set all of this up the same way. Working remotely and living in your own village beats going to the office 4 days a week. Who the hell knows how I will negotiate it, but it seems I have a chance to agree either on full remote, or a week in the office and 3 weeks at home. In short, a deja vu, a certain deja vu, because I have been through this already.
To work effectively, I believe you have to work in silence, in complete silence, and better still without food. Not to mention without a smoke break. No smoking, no food, nobody, just you and the machine, the computer.
But at the same time I understood for sure that I can work effectively enough even from a phone, the main thing is to have internet.
