how netflix’s device restriction works? Can such restriction be placed while using JWT?

There are many methods to do so. They could have a socket connection open while the app is open, they could generate different access tokens for each client and track how multiple tokens are used... You probably won't get a definitive answer unless one of their devs talked about it somewhere
