MyZubster – Why Simplicity is the Key to Making Monero Accessible to Everyone
This is not a project that starts from a single person. It's a network that grows together, overcoming the barriers that still make Monero difficult to use.
The Problem: Monero is Hard to Use
Monero is one of the most powerful and promising cryptocurrencies for privacy. But there's a problem: using it is still too complicated for most people.
And I'm not just talking about people who don't know what a blockchain is. I'm talking about developers, technicians, freelancers who want to start using Monero but face obstacles that seem insurmountable.
Let's look at them.
- Exchanges Are a Wall
To buy Monero, you have to go through an exchange. But:
Not all exchanges support Monero (for regulatory reasons).
Those that do often require KYC (identification) – which defeats the purpose of privacy.
The registration, verification, and deposit process can take days.
Fees are often high.
Result: an average user gives up before even buying their first Monero.
- PGP – A Nightmare for Beginners
Public-key cryptography is essential for privacy. But PGP (GPG) is:
Counterintuitive
Full of terminal commands
Hard to explain in simple terms
Fragile for those without experience
Anyone who has tried to explain to a friend how to sign a message with GPG knows what I'm talking about. It's a huge wall for anyone approaching the world of privacy.
Result: most people give up and use centralized tools (Telegram, WhatsApp) because they "just work."
- Monero Wallets Are Not All the Same
There are great Monero wallets (Cake Wallet, Feather, Monerujo). But:
Some are mobile-only.
Others require downloading the entire blockchain (very long sync).
Others have unclear interfaces for new users.
Result: a user who wants to receive a payment in Monero feels lost.
- The Culture of "Complexity"
There's a widespread idea that to use Monero you have to be an "expert." That you need to know the command line, private keys, backups, seeds, nodes, subaddresses. All true, but:
Technology exists to simplify life, not to complicate it.
If we want Monero to become a currency used daily, we have to lower the barrier to entry.
- The Geographic Divide – And Why GitHub Is the Solution
There's another difficulty that is often underestimated: the geographic difference in Monero adoption.
If you live in New York, London, Berlin, or Milan, you probably know someone who has heard of Monero. There are meetups, communities, local exchanges, and a certain crypto culture.
But if you live in a small town, in a rural area, or in the Italian countryside, Monero is often a word that has never been spoken. There are no nodes, no users, no one to talk to about privacy, decentralization, or alternative payments.
This creates a huge problem: if you wait for your city to wake up, you'll never start.
That's why GitHub and online collaboration are the real engine of MyZubster.
It doesn't matter where you live. It doesn't matter if no one uses Monero in your area. On GitHub, geographic boundaries don't exist. Anyone can contribute, open an issue, propose an improvement, write a guide, test the platform.
MyZubster is not a project that starts from a single person in a big city. It's a project that grows thanks to contributors spread all over the world – including those places where Monero hasn't arrived yet.

Why the Project Is Open to Everyone
I myself live in a place where Monero is not used. I don't have a local community that accepts XMR, nor an exchange that is easily accessible.
But that's not a problem.
MyZubster doesn't start from me. It starts from everyone who wants to build an alternative network, regardless of where they live.
It doesn't matter if no one uses Monero in your city. We build the network together, through online collaboration.

You don't need to be a blockchain or cryptography expert to help MyZubster grow. Here's what you can do:

Test the platform and report bugs or suggest improvements.
Host your own MyZubster node if you have a VPS (guides are available).
Write content (tutorials, experiences, guides) to help others get in.
Share the project with your network – the more we are, the more useful the network becomes.
The Key Is Simplicity
Monero is powerful. But if it remains a tool for a few "experts," it will never change the world.
