# 11 Lessons Learned in 11 Years of My QA Career

This week I’m celebrating 11 years at Everlabs 🎉

It’s been a journey full of challenges, growth, and inspiring people around me.

I want to share 11 lessons I’ve learned along the way. Hopefully, they’ll be useful to someone out there 🚀

1. Quality is a mindset, not just a role.

Testing doesn’t start with code, it starts with how the whole team thinks.

2. Never stop learning.

Tech changes fast, but adaptability is the real superpower.

3. Communication beats documentation.

A good conversation sometimes saves more time than 10 pages of docs.

4. Automation is powerful, but not a silver bullet.

Human insight still matters a lot.

5. Metrics matter.

What gets measured, gets improved.

6. Team > Individual.

A strong team can solve challenges that no one person could.

7. Retrospectives are gold.

Small, consistent improvements build big results.

8. Mentorship gives back.

By teaching others, you grow yourself even faster.

9. Failures are lessons.

Some of the best ideas are born right after mistakes.

10. Celebrate small wins.

They fuel the motivation to keep going.

11. Stay kind and curious.

QA is not just about finding bugs, it’s about building trust.

11 years in one company is more than just work — it’s community, growth, and continuous learning.
