I used to think success was about luck or being the smartest person in the room. But over time, I realized it’s much simpler and much harder than that.
Early in my career, I was tasked with building a complex AI powered feature for a client. The deadline was tight, the requirements kept changing, and I quickly realized that my initial approach wasn’t going to work. For a few days, I felt completely stuck. I questioned whether I was capable of handling the project at all.
But then I decided to shift my focus: instead of stressing about the entire project, I broke it into smaller, manageable pieces, experimented with different solutions, and reached out to peers for advice. Slowly, things started to click. The feature finally worked, and more importantly, I learned lessons that no textbook could teach me.
Looking back, I realized that success isn’t about avoiding failure it’s about how you respond when things don’t go as planned. Every challenge is an opportunity to adapt, learn, and grow. That project taught me the value of resilience, creative problem-solving, and the willingness to experiment until something works.
