Congrats to the Frontend Challenge: Space Edition Winners!

Today’s the day! We are excited to announce the winners of Frontend Challenge: Space Edition.

This was quite a fun challenge for our team to judge - we loved all the CSS space art and interpretations of the Solar System landing page. Everyone here is so creative!

Normally we would only choose one winner per prompt, but we couldn’t help but award an additional winner to the CSS Art prompt for this challenge. This doesn’t happen often, so you should all be really proud of your submissions.

Congratulations To…

CSS Art: Space

Inspired by their own website, @hosana’s purple Saturn is our first winner in the CSS Art prompt:

Our second winner, @jagroop2001, shares a narrative story about a mysterious voyage to a purple planet through their art:

It’s important to note that this submission was on the edge of ineligibility due to some light JavaScript but we allowed it because we judged the submission with the JavaScript completely turned off, and it still worked great.

Glam Up My Markup: Solar System

Next up, @menard_codes takes the win with a beautiful, Star Wars themed custom landing page for the Solar System.

We saw LOTS of great submissions (especially ones that incorporated animation) for our Glam up prompt but this submission really stood out from a creativity and polish perspective. Well done, Menard!

Our three winners will receive an exclusive DEV badge and a gift from the DEV Shop. All participants will receive a completion badge for rising to the challenge!

What’s next?

We’ll be launching a BRAND NEW challenge tomorrow (September 18)!

Make sure to follow #devchallenge so you don’t miss the announcement:

This is the official tag for submissions and announcements related to DEV Challenges.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Frontend Challenge: Space Edition! We hope you had fun, felt challenged, and maybe added a thing or two to your professional profile. See you next time!
