I sold my Behringer RD-8 (808 drum machine clone), made a little cash, and have bought a Yamaha THR30II!
It's always a push-pull for me between making guitar-based music and synth music. I just love it all! π
@michaeltharrington I have a THR30II as well! We'll need to compare notes - it's a very cool device.
OOoo rock on! That's what's up. You know I'm down. π
One of the main reasons I picked it up is that I really love the idea of having a little amp I can carry around the house and on vacations with me. It's so dang cool that it can run wirelessly! And I'll need to pick up the wireless receiver so that I can plug in my guitar cordlessly β that's going on the Christmas list, haha!
Also, when I rehearse with my band, we most often all plug into a mixer, a Behringer X Air XR18, and I see that the THR30II has stereo outputs on the back, so I can run it straight into the mixer.
Anyway, it arrived over the weekend, but I was out and about, so now it should be waiting for me at the post office... can wait to go scoop it up later today!
Najs. I've got a Stagg acoustic kit. Bit more noisy, but my neighbors got dogs, so we're even I guess π
The only answer: guitar based synth music.
Haha, I like the way you think! I'm working on it. π
My this week's win was clearing a bug which was bugging me from 1month and now I successfully cleared it . All thanks to Stackoverflow and articles , official Document of ARCore and tech blogs . It was great feeling when you clear the bug in personal project but you can't express to any others as a acheivement still for me it is a Great Win
My Big Win this week is that I have a date for my final surgery - November 17!
Last year I was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer and had to have emergency surgery to bypass the tumor, this surgery will put me back together in my final form
As you can imagine with a Stage IV diagnosis, this surgery was never guaranteed; it took A LOT of hard work, patience, and luck to reach this point.
First off, loving the reference β super saiyan here we come!
Next up, you freaking rock!! Your strength, perseverance, and amazing attitude are so inspiring.
We'll be keeping ya in our thoughts!
Just found the reason for an accounting BUG. I'm 2 months into my new job and had to read a ton of legacy code a senior dev wrote and is no longer with the company. At almost 5pm, I found the reason for the bug, and I'm pretty happy about it because this will stop the errors on people's pay checks.
We've released a new redesign of the DevDojo website!
I built a web app entirely on top of NodeJS, and NPM libs for the first time on the first attempt, Since 2015 working as a full-time PHP Dev, and never had the chance to give it a try, this week, an employer came with a project that made my week π
Oh, this is my first activity at DEV.to even though I got a Four Year Club badge! So I'm feeling rewarded like: Buy one Get one Free π
Got my official offer letter to stay on with my company after this apprenticeship ends. So I am stoked.
My win this week was to have great networking meetings with people from my company! I'm trying to learn more about leadership, and because of all the conversations I had, I'm ending my week very energized!
I wrote an article that earned me a badge. Here
Getting retweeted by codepen for this ππΌ definitely a win haha
