Over the last couple of months, I had several conversations with interior designers and furniture businesses.
One thing I noticed repeatedly was that people already have a floor plan, but they still struggle to visualize ideas and communicate them clearly.
Questions like:
- Will this furniture arrangement work?
- Is there enough space for movement?
- How can I explain my idea to an architect?
- What would the room actually look like?
Most existing tools either felt too complicated or required starting from scratch.
So last weekend, I decided to build something myself.
Introducing ScaleMap
ScaleMap is a privacy-first home planning tool that helps homeowners, interior designers, and architects visualize spaces more easily.
Features
✅ Upload existing floor plans or blueprints
✅ Arrange furniture and experiment with layouts
✅ Visualize designs in both 2D and 3D
✅ Plan using real dimensions
✅ Everything runs locally with no tracking
My goal isn't to replace professional CAD software.
I simply want to make home planning more accessible for everyday users.
I'd love to hear your feedback and suggestions.
