Day 1066 : Dream 4 Today

liner notes:

  • Professional : Today was a pretty successful day. Got up EARLY to attend a demo session for some upcoming features. I was able to respond to a bunch of community questions. Got on a call with the team member I'm working on this project with to discuss the stuff I got done yesterday. Did a quick demo and walk through, everything looked good. Cleaned up the code and made my pull request. They did what they needed to do, then I did what I needed to do from there. We went back and forth and got it done! Had a couple of meetings. Ended the day doing a training that was due soon. Now, I'm free to work on some other projects that popped up before my holiday break.

  • Personal : Last night, I did all the steps to set up my 3D printer except installing the apps, downloading the software and running the initial calibration. I wanted to save that to do during the day because I wasn't sure how long it would take. I also went through some tracks for the radio show. It was the last day for the Black Friday sale at the place I got the 3D printer from and I ordered some more filament.

A panoramic view of Torres del Paine National Park in Chile. The image shows a large lake in the foreground, with jagged, snow-capped mountains rising in the background. The sky is mostly clear with some clouds.

I was pretty productive during my lunch break. My new Chromebook came in today, so I set that up. No more using a portable monitor because my old Chromebook's screen went out a couple of months ago. Logged into my accounts and everything was just there. Pretty cool. I'm using it to write this blog post now. I need to get used to the keyboard. I just need to install Linux and I should be good. During lunch I installed the app on my devices and logged in for the 3D printer. I ran the initial setup steps on the 3D printer, ran the calibration, downloaded an update and did another calibration. All that is left is to put in the filament, download the software to my computer (going to see if I can install it on my Chromebook) follow the steps and print my first model. Going to do that and go through tracks for the radio show after I eat dinner. Looking to end the night catching up on Bleach. That's my dream for today. haha

Have a great night!

peace piece
