liner notes:
- Saturday : This week, I decided to ship the orders I got packaged before doing the radio show. So, I got up early and headed to the post office and dropped them off. After that, I had some time so I "vibe coded" an application. It didn't work. haha I did like how it set up the project, so I implemented that style into the new application I started. I was able to get like one step working before it was time to start the show. Had a great time as usual. The recording of this week's show is at https://kNOwBETTERHIPHOP.com
Sunday : The rest of the solar packages came in. I set everything up and then realized that having 100 ft long cables is probably not the best choice. I think I'm losing a lot of power in the distance. I ordered shorter cables that should come in tomorrow. Going to run it back and see if I get more power. I also did some other tasks over at https://untilit.works Started of slow but ended up a pretty productive day.
Professional : First half of my day was mostly spent trying to help out with a community question. I think I didn't fully understand what they were trying to do, so I just kept asking them questions. I think we may have gotten to a good spot, but it was the end of the day where they are so they'll try it tomorrow. My meeting with my manager got rescheduled, so I spent the day working on the project before I got put on the project I just got working and ready for folks to try out. Got a meeting tomorrow morning where I'll be able to demo and talk about what I worked on today which is a continuation of what I was working on earlier this year. Pretty good day.
Personal : So, on Sunday, it stormed really heavy! Right before it started, I rushed to bring in the solar panels. I basically threw in all the cables (again, each one is a 100ft long) into the shed. Getting in early this morning, I realized that was a mistake. Everything was all knotted up and took a while to untangle everything. Plus each panel has 2 cables that are not attached so I need to make sure that each pair from the panels where the same pair plugged into the batteries. That took a while, but I used different colored Velcro straps to help tell them apart. I'm probably end up doing the same thing for when the shorter cables come in. One of my 3D printers is down. I think the nozzle may be clogged, but I haven't had the energy to try and trouble shoot it. I've got a buffer of the stuff I was printing on it, so it's not super urgent yet. Just been 3D printing these orders and getting them ready to ship.
I'm encouraged by how the solar setup is performing. I think once the shorter cables come in, I may try running prints over night. I don't think I'm going to risk it tonight. Almost done with these prints. Got like another hour. Going to get some food because I skipped lunch and I'm hungry. Going to listen to some tracks while I write some code for this project. I want to get a demo ready before this equipment comes in so I can show it to some folks and maybe get some business done. I'm out.
Have a great night!
peace piece
