liner notes:
Professional : So I got up to do some early morning coding before heading into the workshop. So, I'm minding my business writing some awesome code and then, the screen goes black. I thought it was maybe the battery drained. I go back to sleep for about an hour before getting ready and heading to the workshop. I plug in the laptop and notice that the light on the charging cable doesn't come on. Weird. I go on and set up my 3D printers to run through the day. Then it's time to start my work day and I notice that the cable light still isn't on. I try to turn on the laptop. Nothing. I then knew that all the work I did yesterday and this morning was gone. What a job! I knew I should have been coding in the cloud. It's my fault. I should have been saving more regularly. What's worst is that I had a workshop the next day. First thing I did was to let my manager know what's happening. Then I reached out to IT and submitted a support ticket. I reached out to some folks to see about getting the workshop changed to another date. Then I spent most of the day setting up a laptop so I could get to work and then tried to make up what I lost. Not going to lie, I felt pretty bad about how the day turned out. Way different than I originally had planned.
Personal : Just been 3D printing orders and looking into some new equipment I may be adding to my arsenal. They are both on Kickstarter and I researched as much info as I could from reviews and promotional materials and videos. I also thought about how they could be used to bring my ideas to life. I keep telling myself that these are business expenses and they will really expand the type of items I can create.
This day has beat me up! haha I've got a set of prints running that will most likely be the last for the night. I'm really tired. I'll probably just eat dinner and see if I can do some coding in hope to get back what I lost when my laptop crashed.
Have a great night!
peace piece
