Day 1222 : What a job

liner notes:

  • Professional : So I got up to do some early morning coding before heading into the workshop. So, I'm minding my business writing some awesome code and then, the screen goes black. I thought it was maybe the battery drained. I go back to sleep for about an hour before getting ready and heading to the workshop. I plug in the laptop and notice that the light on the charging cable doesn't come on. Weird. I go on and set up my 3D printers to run through the day. Then it's time to start my work day and I notice that the cable light still isn't on. I try to turn on the laptop. Nothing. I then knew that all the work I did yesterday and this morning was gone. What a job! I knew I should have been coding in the cloud. It's my fault. I should have been saving more regularly. What's worst is that I had a workshop the next day. First thing I did was to let my manager know what's happening. Then I reached out to IT and submitted a support ticket. I reached out to some folks to see about getting the workshop changed to another date. Then I spent most of the day setting up a laptop so I could get to work and then tried to make up what I lost. Not going to lie, I felt pretty bad about how the day turned out. Way different than I originally had planned.

  • Personal : Just been 3D printing orders and looking into some new equipment I may be adding to my arsenal. They are both on Kickstarter and I researched as much info as I could from reviews and promotional materials and videos. I also thought about how they could be used to bring my ideas to life. I keep telling myself that these are business expenses and they will really expand the type of items I can create.

A vast and intricate landscape of terraced rice paddies, creating a beautiful patchwork of vibrant greens and golden yellows on the hillsides. A river meanders through the valley, reflecting the light from a cloudy, yet bright sky. In the background, majestic mountains rise, their rugged forms contrasting with the meticulously cultivated fields. The overall impression is one of breathtaking agricultural artistry and natural beauty. The setting appears to be Mu Cang Chai, Vietnam.

This day has beat me up! haha I've got a set of prints running that will most likely be the last for the night. I'm really tired. I'll probably just eat dinner and see if I can do some coding in hope to get back what I lost when my laptop crashed.

Have a great night!

peace piece
