- Saturday : Headed out to the station early so that I could get a test pressing shipped out for review. I checked my PO Box and there was a package from a record label that we play on the show alot. It was a CD from one of their latest releases. That's cool because we've been playing a bunch of that artist already. While I waited to head into the station, I did a little coding on a project. Walked into the station and noticed that the normal people that broadcast the basketball games were not in the studio. I looked up the schedule and it looked like the last game was that Wednesday which means that we returned back to the radio waves! Felt good being back on air. Sunday : I started only doing one study cypher on https://untilit.works instead of 2. It gives more time to focus on longer tasks and a chance to relax a little before the work week. For example, I cut my hair. Really don't think I would be able to get that done in a 45 minute session. I also cleared out some boxes out of the workshop because I have some packages coming in. I also did a deep dive with Google's Gemini about a modification about a product I'll be making that I thought could really increase it's value and usefulness. It agreed with the changes and even gave me more ideas to make it even better.
Professional : Today was a pretty good way to start the week. I didn't have any morning meetings so I worked on improving the experience on this web MCP client that can communicate with external MCP servers. Had a meeting in the afternoon to discuss my upcoming trip and more details on what we'll be doing. I got to show some stuff I have been working on that I think could work for the event. Folks agreed so I'm going to make some modifications to really fit the event. Then later I had a meeting with my manager. We went through the list I had for thoughts on next steps for the applications I've been building. Got to demo that web MCP client proof of concept I mentioned before the direction I want to take it. They liked it and gave me the go ahead. So, I worked on that for the rest of the day as well as book the flights and hotel for the previously mentioned event.
Personal : It's funny. The UV laser I ordered like 2 weeks ago has been delivered in separate packages over the past week and the final main part is coming this week. The UV laser that I backed on Kickstarter back in like September of 2025 has as much as given an estimated delivery date. What a catastrophe! Glad I disputed the charges with my credit card company. Got some of my money back and hopefully the rest this week. Pretty excited to get the machine. There are a few ideas I want to try out for projects.
Going to eat dinner, the get to work. I want to get some measurements of items that have come in so I can incorporate them into a product for this project I've got coming up. I may work on this week's radio show as well so I can stay ahead before going to bed.
