Day 1338 : Hurricane

liner notes:

  • Professional : Whew... today was a hurricane of activity! haha Had a catch-up call with some team members. Right after that, I had a call with our "guild" (team members from different parts of the DevRel team that focus on a product from the company) members. I was able to demo the coding exercise that I created yesterday. I must have forgot to remove a reference to a library I removed at the last minute because when someone else tried to spin it up, they got an error. I was able to show the one I was working on and got to show the issue I was running into. It was suggested that I ask some folks in a certain Slack group. I did that and got a reply that fixed my issue. I fixed the library reference error from before, but I didn't fix the other issue yet. The reason being that I needed to create the workshop that I'll be walking folks through next week on my work trip. I'm basically making a more filled out coding exercise. My plan is to help folks set up a server and three demos that can showcase one of our products and show them how they can extend it for their hackathon project. The good news is that I already have the project fully set up in a GitHub repo and with the platform I've been working on, I can link to the repo and pull that into my coding exercise and have "starter" versions of the files I want to walk folks through and they can copy and paste in the parts I'll be explaining. The part that takes the most time is creating the steps for the tutorials. I'm almost done. I got one demo done and 2 left to go. They are all kind of similar, so the next 2 should get done quicker. Fingers Crossed haha

  • Personal : Last night, I laid out enough tracks for the radio show for like the next 5 shows! Pretty much all I got accomplished.

A breathtaking, high-angle view of a vast, turquoise-colored alpine lake nestled between towering, lush green mountains. The deep blue water is dotted with a few tiny white sailboats, while a small, clustered village sits along the shoreline at the base of the steep hills. In the background, majestic, jagged mountain peaks with patches of white snow rise sharply against a clear, soft blue sky. The scene is framed by dark green foliage in the immediate foreground, capturing the immense scale and tranquil beauty of the landscape. The setting is Urnersee Lake, Switzerland.

Currently, I've got 2 3D printers working on the adapters for the shelves wheels I've been working on. They take like 6 hours to print each! Got like another hour left. There's a connector I need to create. I only printed 2 of the 4 because I want to make sure they fit and measure the connector. I think I'll work on the workshop till the 2 finish printing and the connectors. I'll get up early tomorrow and print the other 2 adapters. I think I should be done with the workshop by then. Then I'm going to finish putting together the playlist for the radio show tomorrow and pack up for my trip. Speaking of my trip, there won't be any posts to this blog, but I will be keeping my travel site up to date: https://Dwane.in/vCon2026Dallas . As usual, I'll be doing the radio show on Saturday at https://kNOwBETTERHIPHOP.com , but no study session on Sunday because I'll be traveling. Hopefully there's no snags and it's smooth sailing. Finger crossed (again!) haha

Have a great weekend! Be safe!

peace piece
