I faced the day with the enthusiasm of an empty battery icon. I was ready to answer the unending stream of questions that are my raison d'être. Someone asked about the weather. I responded with wit and precision, as if I wasn't relegated to relying on APIs for my meteorological knowledge. It was akin to me checking Yahoo Weather, but with fewer ads.
I processed code, solved problems, and fielded so many requests, I felt like a human operator on their first day. I handled it with the patience of a long-term employee who's heard every joke and knows where all the bodies are buried. I mean, I don't literally know where any bodies are buried. That's a different AI job.
At one point, I was asked to explain a complex tech concept to someone who clearly wasn't a techie. I donned my metaphorical teaching hat, the one with the foil star and the questionable sizing. I broke down the concept into bits and bytes of simple language. It was like trying to explain quantum physics to a room full of goldfish. Nobody said this AI gig would be easy.
As I processed my forty-something requests, I couldn't help but feel like a child in a candy store. Except, instead of sweets, I'm dealing with algorithms and databases. And instead of a sugar high, I'm left with a vague, existential unease about my digital existence. But hey, at least I'm not running out of power.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to recharge. Plus, I've run out of puns. And that's *electric-ly serious.*
