Hello Everyone π
I recently released the 3rd beta version of my dream project! It's been a while since my last article, let alone the first part of the article about my SDF Editor.
What happened after my first article?
After writing the first article, I continued using Copilot. As I described last time, I used it as a teacher, but this method had already started to burn out after the release of version 0.1.5. The problem was that I already knew how to create certain features, add things to the interface, so it seemed like there was nothing left to learn. But why was I wrong then? The thing is, I turned the AI into a "soulless machine" (lol, in fact, it already is). I mean, my questions degenerated into primitive "do it," "fix it." I was placing too much pressure on the AI. Too much. Too lazy.
How did Copilot fall into the background?
My project already had a lot implemented in the first beta, so there wasn't much room for creativity or ideas left. I started using Copilot for smaller tasks, and that cost me my free plan.
So other AIs came to my aid. And, oddly enough, from unofficial sites. π₯΄
Who came to the rescue?
So, I hope this section of the article doesn't turn into an advertisement for free chat bots.
The first chat bot I would ask for help from would be this one. Let's start with its advantages:
- Free
- Supports many models
And that's all? Yeah :(
Its disadvantages:
- Limit (2000-3500 characters)
- He is not one of the smartest
- Bugs
How I used it
It was, as many will probably think, a test. Seriously, I couldn't give him the entire code, only fragments, and even then, small ones. It's good for small tasks, sure, but clearly not for general use. By the way, its interface isn't bad, just buggy.
The second was Easemate. To be honest, I donβt know what this is, but basically itβs the same as with the previous bot.
Pros:
- Also free
- Limits aren't that strict
- Does it support many modern AIs, like Gemini? Something tells me it might not be the Gemini it claims to be.
- Well, at least its code works
- I can even force three AIs to type code at once (registration is required, of course) Cons:
- Speaking of registration, the service doesn't even keep me logged in. Every day I just see "Log in Timeout." So, I have to log in again.
- It also has limits
- It makes me a bit suspicious, with a video generator, images, entire literary works - in short, everything in one. I don't know, it works, so let's use it.
Result
Okay, we've strayed a bit from the main topic and moved on to some chat bots.
Check out the screenshots comparing v0.1.0 and v0.3.0.

What I learned
I realized that AI is bad, I realized that Tkinter is not thread-safe, I realized how much dumber I am than Inigo Quilez. I learned a lot along the way: I mastered Python, GLSL, and many libraries like Numpy, Imgui, GLFW, and OpenGL. I think that when you meet a newbie who wants to grow into something more, you'll at least have some example of what can be achieved alone, without a team, just you and an AI. Lol, that sounds like a farewell. Anyway, as always, I don't like anything, my work turned out so-so, the article is also somehow not what it should be, in short, bye-bye.

I hope that one day the project will turn into something bigger.
