In this first post of 2026, I want to recommend a very simple app that has proven quite useful in my daily life: LookAway.
This application helps improve your health while using macOS. It alerts the user, at configurable intervals, to correct their posture and, most importantly, to "look away" from the monitor. This greatly helps to avoid muscle fatigue and, especially, eye strain. It's also possible to download an iOS app and sync it with your Mac, which locks your phone at the same time as it locks your computer (all customizable, of course) to prevent you from "cheating" in the game by taking your eyes off the computer and using your phone.
On the app's website, you can see screenshots and purchase a license. It's also part of the SetApp subscription, which I've been using (and talking about) since 2017.
