Plangs! is a curated resource for exploring programming languages and tools. The goal is to provide a practical, production-ready selection of languages and resources, helping you find what’s worth using today.
What’s Included
Plangs! focuses on languages that are ready for real-world projects, or close to it. While experimental or alpha-stage languages may appear, they must at least support prototyping and have some good documentation. The community ultimately shapes what gets featured, so discussions and contributions are welcome!
Contributions
Plangs started with a mix of Wikipedia data, AI prompts, Github and Languish data, and manual curation. Contributions from developers are always appreciated!
The site is currently backed by a static JSON file, but the editor allows changing the data by storing it in localStorage. The data can be exported, and the website can use the Github API to automatically generate a pull requests to make your changes available upstream.
While working on the site, I'm continuously looking to improve the quality of the data, but as there are more than 200+ plangs and counting, I'd love to have your help!
Meta
Plangs! is a website about programming languages and tools, so it’s only fitting to share some of the tools that power it! You can read more about the tools behind the site here.
