# Preface:

This is the eighth book I finished reading in 2023. This type of interesting history book is always a staple in my reading list for leisure. I usually read them in rotation, so I was able to finish this one right after the previous one. (Actually, I have more than five books that are half-read.)

This book explains many things you may not be familiar with about the Three Kingdoms period. Although people who often play video games are very familiar with the generals of the Three Kingdoms period (perhaps more so with their military and political power), this book often introduces some lesser-known historical stories:

- Why Cao Cao was called a "wife stealer"
- Gossip related to Zhao Zilong

Even stories related to Kong Rong, as well as some figures and allusions from the later Three Kingdoms period, are included. It's actually quite interesting.

Psychologist: "The only drawback of this book is that it's addictive."
Lawyer: "If you want to understand a concise history of the Three Kingdoms, this book is the best tool to get started."
Historian: "Using the key points that people in the 21st century care about, it tells you a brand new Three Kingdoms!"
University Professor: "Even though popular writing on humanities has been in vogue in recent years, Ordinary Person is still a leader in the field."
Columnist: "This book is not just restoring history, but also filling in the gaps in the general public's understanding."
Website Founder: "Ordinary Person's stories are not limited, like a bold storyteller, even if the metaphors are exaggerated, they can still be understood in a second."
Elementary School Teacher: "Restoring historical truth with various novel writing styles, and sketching the true nature of the Three Kingdoms heroes through carefully designed arrangements."
Historical Writer: "No matter how KUSO (Japanese slang for "crazy" or "absurd"), no matter how exaggerated the words are, the content is well-founded, showing the author's solid basic skills. It seems ordinary, but it's actually not simple."

Even Luo Guanzhong doesn't know the history of the Three Kingdoms!
Transcending the traditional historical framework, integrating video games, anime, drama, current affairs, and internet slang,
After tens of thousands of fans frantically typing on their keyboards, finally, we have──
The "Story: History for Everyone" website's highly popular column "Three Kingdoms Spiderweb" is finally compiled!

- Cao Cao, the "Wife King":
  - Because in the Three Kingdoms period, many generals liked to take beautiful young women as wives.
  - After conquering the relevant territories, Cao Cao would take a liking to them when he occupied the relevant resources.
- The gossip about Zhao Zilong is about his close relationship with Liu Bei.
- Mentions Yuan Shao's two great military strategists: Ju Shou and Tian Feng
- Mentions Cao Pi, who is very petty:
  - Very vindictive (Cao Hong)
  - The love-hate relationship with Cao Zhi
- Zang Ba (lesser-known), but actually a general who managed many places in the later Three Kingdoms period.
- Also mentions ghost stories from the Three Kingdoms period: the Chongluo tribe (a strange tribe whose heads can fly)
- Talks about Ma Chao, who was fierce but unlucky
- Sun Quan, whose family seemed to be in conflict with the Tai Sui (a deity in Chinese folk religion)
- Kong Rong, a Three Kingdoms newbie
- Mentions that Zhuge Liang was actually a very benevolent military advisor (rarely executed people)

# Thoughts:

This book is really interesting. The author also tries to use various writing styles to explain some popular history. For example, through the writing style of a reporter's interview, for example, through a writing style similar to the Blue Spider Web, or even through some metaphors to explain many interesting popular histories of the Three Kingdoms period.

This book is very suitable for flipping through during leisure time, and it can also allow me to have a deeper understanding of the numbers behind the generals of the Three Kingdoms period. It even gives me a greater understanding of the related history and living habits of the Three Kingdoms period.
