Today I will like to share the concepts in web development.
From the invention of IOT and its enabling concepts such as machine learning, ubiquitous computing artificial intelligence etc, I am in amazement how the idea came about.
I may not have to dive very deep but I will like to give an idea to the best of my knowledge.
Machine learning started from the desire to train the computer to continue to learn and adapt to new task and complex activities without or with very little human assistance.
IOT (Internet-of-things) came about from the desire to remotely analyze and control offline systems and devise with real time data and feedback.
All these inventions did not pop up out of a blue sky, there are some innovations that enabled this;
- The vast new computing methods available: Before programmers write low-level to machine language, but recent vast majority of programmers write with high level language due to the advent of many programming languages and Translative interpreters (GNU, V8 engine, JavaScript core, Typescript Compiler, Sass, babel ES6 and CPython) at their disposal.
- The large data banks. The internet is a vast trailer load of treasure load of treasure and banks. This raised new abilities ranging from data analysis and data science in order to identify patterns, trends, and maybe from analyzed data a prediction can be made. The recent development in different methods of data collection sources have greatly influenced our tech ecosystem. These data can be used to train a computer inform of computer program into artificial intelligence in field of predictions, auto complete and even generated messages. Advanced topics spans to image generation, speech recognition and facial recognition. Let’s not forget the goal The goal is to take up a product and transform it so that we can communicate (send and receive feedback) with this product (hardware) remotely (Software). Web Development spans from concepts but the aim is to transform a business which is situated at a physical location to a remote e-commerce website. This has been made possible due to the;
- Growth and trust in technology is gaining to even foster international trade and sales.
- Online banking products and payment systems such as Paystack, KuCoin, remita which has made online payment seamless, very easy and most especially secure. I will say kudos to the brain behind this. I have been on a journey to develop myself to improve my skill to best deliver. Though it feels that the tech space is most especially saturated for developers and new job descriptions are coming in while others are being rendered outdated example such as resume builders, content writing, poems and story-telling, to even writing codes. It takes knowledge skill and craft to steadily be on your toes to change with the dynamics of development. I still feel there are still places that development have not gotten to and the full potential of this tech-ecosystem could still be harnessed to its full potential.
