On 23-05-2026, I attended a mock interview session conducted by Payilagam. This session helped me understand my current level in technical knowledge, communication, and confidence. Even though I felt nervous at first, the interview gave me a real interview experience and motivated me to improve myself. During the mock interview, the interviewer asked me several frontend development questions to test my basic technical knowledge. Some of the questions included:
Tell me about yourself?
What is HTML?
Features of HTML5?
Purpose of the alt tag in images?
Difference between block and inline elements?
Examples of block-level elements?
What are semantic tags?
Different ways to add CSS?
Difference between px and %?
What is Version Control System (VCS)?
These questions helped me understand how important it is to have strong knowledge of frontend basics. I was able to answer some questions confidently, while a few questions made me realize the areas where I need more practice and improvement.
One important lesson I learned from this experience is that communication skills play a major role in interviews. Technical knowledge alone is not enough; explaining answers clearly and confidently is equally important. I also understood the importance of confidence, body language, and staying calm during interviews.
This mock interview motivated me to improve my frontend concepts, communication skills, and overall confidence level. I have now planned to practice HTML, CSS, and Git concepts regularly and attend more mock interviews to gain better experience.
Overall, this mock interview became a valuable learning experience for me. Every interview is an opportunity to learn something new and improve ourselves. With consistent practice and dedication, I believe I can perform much better in future interviews and move one step closer to achieving my career goals.
